INFORMATION ON THESE PICTURES

Each picture was taken with a film camera during our trip to Athens and Egypt. The color prints were scanned into a computer and altered using Adobe Photoshopİ.

PIctures labeled "photographs"
These had their contrast and color improved to reflect the scene we saw, not the scene imagined by the operator of color print-making machine.

Pictures labeled "computerized photo"
These were manipulated further with Adobe Photoshop©. I planned to list which Adobe Photoshopİ technique was used for each image but the task became too complicated. Multiple filters and effects were applied to each image. Each command required choices about factors like stroke length, brush width, effect intensity, etc on scales from one to three or zero to 500. The extremes yielded either no change or no image. The choices in between created two to twelve hours of decision making for each image you see.
